What if everyone saw colors differently
But we’ve already been taught what colors are what
So we’d never know that we saw them differently
Because they all have the same name to us
things i think while spacing out in class
these questions keep me up at night
i thought i was the only one who thought about this
I thought i was too….
I tried to explain this to my dad when I was 10 and he just couldn’t understand what I was saying.
Short story, philosophically speaking and from a skeptical perspective, is that colors as we perceive them exist only in our perception! There’s no way to know whether they’re the “same” as someone else’s perception of them.
